School Success Scholarships

Success for All (SFA) is excited to offer School Success Scholarships to schools committed to whole-school transformation. This unique opportunity allows schools to implement SFA’s research-proven model that is designed to strengthen leadership, align schoolwide systems, and increase student achievement.

Extensive research underscores the importance of early reading success. Children who are proficient in reading by the 4th grade are four times more likely to graduate from high school (Lesnick et al., 2010). Conversely, those who struggle with early reading are at a higher risk of negative long-term outcomes, including lower income, higher delinquency rates, and increased dropout rates (Lesnick et al., 2016).

Education researchers disagree on much, but they are united in this conclusion: We have the tools right now to ensure success in early literacy. We just need to use the evidence we have to make certain that students receive the instruction necessary to ensure their success. Take the first step towards lasting change with SFA.

Program Highlights:

  • $100,000 scholarships are available to Title I-eligible schools to support implementation of Success for All’s proven, whole school model.
  • Schools that receive a scholarship will use a gradual, phased-in approach to build readiness among the entire school community. Here’s what that phased-in approach looks like:
    • Phase I: School administrators participate in SFA’s research-proven leadership professional development (Leading for Success) and build critical structures to support delivery of exceptional teaching and learning. Additionally, the entire school begins SFA’s Getting Along Together program (GAT), which develops learning competencies among students – metacognition, cognition, motivation, social-emotional development.  
    • Phase II: With critical structures in place and readiness among the entire school community built, schools implement SFAs science of reading-based program, science of learning-based instructional approach, high-dosage tutoring, and additional system components to support effective delivery of instruction and continuous improvement. These components received the highest ratings for evidence in ESSA–1.
